Arcim Boldo

I was commissioned by Paul Grubb and Dave Waters, then at Gold Greenlees Trott, to design & illustrate a woman's face using the 'Arcim Boldo' effect. As Dave Waters explained " you know Arcim Boldo, the Italian artist geezer from a bygone century, that created portraits out of fruit"  This face was used as a pitch for the pain killer Nurofen TV commercial.

The campaign was accepted and I went on to Art Direct the shoot for Barney Edwards of Edwards Baker Swannell. The finished TV Ad with sound track by Pink Floyd's 'Dark side of the moon' went on to be award winning.

This was followed by a press ad that I designed using a range of objects that represented noise and pain.
